The crust is a basic recipe my mom passed on to me... just flour, yeast, olive oil, water, and salt. It comes out soft and chewy.
As the base topping, instead of a traditional tomato sauce, I made some hummus by blending together cooked chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, fresh garlic, salt, and a pinch of cumin.
That was topped with a layer of fresh spinach leaves.
On top of that was: artichoke hearts, red onion, black olives, capers, a little bit of feta cheese, lots of mozzarella, and a sprinkling of olive oil.
Very easy despite being made entirely from scratch! In my opinion, takeout pizza is always good, but it's in an entirely different league than homemade.

1 package yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 cup warm water
3 cups flour, separated
1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil
Dissolve yeast in water and sugar. Set aside and let foam.
Mix two cups of flour with salt and sugar and add to the yeast. Graduall mix in the third cup of flour until a soft dough forms. Knead three minutes until soft and slightly sticky. Roll out onto pan. Bake at 400 F for 10 minutes. Add toppings, bake for additional 15 to 20 minutes.
